LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 3, 2009) - On a day when the ETSU cross country program took part of history, senior distance runner Kenneth Rotich (Nairobi, Kenya) and junior Lady Buccaneer Terra Haggard (Morristown, Tenn.) paced their respective squads across the finish line on Saturday afternoon at the Greater Louisville Classic.
For the third time this season Rotich led the way for the Buccaneer men's squad, finishing 30th overall with a time of 24:29.11 on the 8K course. Rotich's time was over a minute faster than the one he turned in two weeks ago on the 8K terrain in
Overall, ETSU finished 16th overall with 514 points and finished one spot behind conference rival Belmont - who tallied 435 points.

The 8th annual Greater Louisville Classic featured history, as 76 teams competed from 16 different states, making it the largest collegiate cross country meet ever contested in the south region.
The ETSU cross country team returns to action on Friday, Oct. 17, when the Buccaneers head to the Sunshine state to compete in the Hatter Invitational.
