JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 5, 2009) - The ETSU volleyball team is set to host North Florida and Jacksonville in the final home weekend of the season. The Bucs face UNF at 7 p.m. on Friday, while the Dolphins come to town on Saturday at 4 p.m.
ETSU (9-16, 7-9 A-Sun) swept Stetson last weekend after falling to FGCU 3-0 on the road. The Bucs are led by Alysa Long (Romulus, Mich.) and Whitney Cogburn (Kingsport, Tenn.) as Long leads the team hitting .322, while Cogburn has a team-best 237 kills.
UNF (10-16, 4-12 A-Sun) has dropped their last three matches to USC Upstate, Belmont and Lipscomb. The Bucs fell to UNF in the only meeting between the two teams earlier this season, 3-1. The Ospreys are led by Kaley Reed as she has a conference-best 386 kills.
Jacksonville (16-7, 12-4 A-Sun) had a 13-game win streak snapped last weekend losing to both Lipscomb and Belmont. The Bucs fell to the Dolphins 3-1 earlier this year in Jacksonville, Fla. Jacksonville is led by Nicki Kent and Shelly Walroth as Kent is third in the conference in hitting (.322) and first in blocks per set (1.17), while Walroth is first in the conference in digs per set (5.42).
Saturday is senior day as Amanda Youell (Middleburg, Fla.) and Kristan Provchy (Norton, Ohio) will suit up for their last match in Brooks Gym.
