MACON, Ga. (Oct. 1, 2008) - With less than five weeks until the 2008 Atlantic Sun Conference Cross Country Championships, junior Kenneth Rotich (Nairobi, Kenya) made a statement run on the course which the championship will be contested, winning the Mercer RunFit Sports Invitational to earn his second A-Sun Runner of the Week award of 2008, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Rotich, who claimed his fifth Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week award, won his fourth individual crown of his career last weekend in
As a team, the Buccaneers benefited from Rotich's first-place performance; as ETSU went on to win the overall team crown.
The Buccaneers return to action this Saturday, Oct. 4, when they compete at the Greater Louisville Classic.
