ETSU Baseball set to host Belmont

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 17, 2008) - The ETSU baseball team is set to host conference opponent and in-state rival Belmont this weekend at Cardinal Park. Game one is set for 7 p.m. Friday night with game two Saturday at 2 p.m. and game three at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

 

The Bucs (10-27, 7-14) are coming off of a big win over former conference rival Appalachian State Wednesday night, 2-1. The Bucs will be looking to improve their standing in the A-Sun as they look to make the conference tournament.

 

Belmont (13-23, 9-12) comes into the series having swept A-Sun preseason favorite Stetson in Nashville, Tenn. last weekend.

 

The games will be broadcast live as Jay Sandos the "Voice of the Bucs", will be calling all the action live on the website. The game Friday night and the Sunday game can be heard on WKPT-AM 1590 and its translator 97.7 FM in Johnson City, WKTP-AM 1400 and its translator 94.3 FM in Kingsport and WOPI-AM 1490 in Bristol. Additionally, WOPI's FM translator 97.7 will also air the game. Fans at the ballpark can also hear the game on Stadiumcast which is 88.7 FM. Saturdays game can be seen tape delayed on ASun.tv.
