JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 3, 2007) - Senior Day became a record-breaking day as three records were broken and one tied as the ETSU women's soccer team rolled past the USC Upstate Spartans, 4-0 at Summers-Taylor Stadium. The Bucs improve to 10-5-3 overall and 6-4-1 in the A-Sun, while the Spartans fall to 3-15-0, 1-10-0.

With the victory over USC Upstate the 2007 Bucs became the team season record holders in assists (31) and points (103). The assist record had been previously set at 27 in 2000 while the points record had been set in 2005 at 101. The Bucs also tied the 2003 and 2004 record of six shutouts in a season. One individual season record fell as junior Katie Green (
The Bucs took a 1-0 lead early in the first half as Terri Miller (
ETSU continued to press the Spartan defense as Jordan Monty (
In the second period the Bucs would score once more as Miller connected with Monty for the second time to blank the Spartans and close out the regular season with a 4-0 victory.
Miller led the Bucs offensively with five shots, two goals and one assist, while Monty had three shots, one goal and two assists and Green had two shots, one goal and one assist.
ETSU outshot Upstate 18-2 and earned six corner kicks as the Bucs recorded their sixth shutout of the season.
"The play by our forwards was outstanding today and it was great that we could come out with a win today for the seniors," said head coach Heather Henson. "We were able to do some things today to prepare us for the conference tournament next week and that was good but we still have some things we need to work on.
