RADFORD, Va. (Dec. 19, 2007) - After losing back-to-back games the ETSU women's basketball team will look to get back into the win column Thursday night when they travel to Radford. Tip is set for 7 p.m. inside the
The Lady Bucs are in the midst of a season-long five-game road trip and are searching for their first road win since Feb. 17, 2007, when ETSU downed UNF.

Lady Bucs Last Time Out

About The Highlanders
The Highlanders are coming off their most successful season in over 10 years. Last year, Radford posted 20 wins for the first time since 1991-92 and reached the 2007 Big South Championship game for the first time in 11 seasons.
Radford was selected to win the Big South conference in 2007-08 as they return preseason all-conference honorees Kelli Darden and Corrie Fertitta. The Highlanders are currently 6-4, and are led by Johnette Walker (12.4ppg, 4.4apg), Fertitta (12.2ppg, 9.2rpg), Taleia Moton (11.9ppg), and Darden (11.2ppg, 8.7rpg).
Like the Lady Bucs, Radford competed in the 2007 Preseason WNIT, where they also went 1-2. Radford has wins over
ETSU leads the all-time series, 11-8. The Lady Bucs have won the last three meetings, including eight of the last nine. Siarre Evans guided ETSU past Radford exactly one year ago, as she sank two clutch threes in the final minutes of the game and finished with a game-high 20 points. The Highlanders had three finish in double figures with Johnette Walker leading the way with 16 points. The last time Radford knocked off the Lady Bucs was on Dec. 6, 2000, when the Highlanders won 89-76 at home.

Despite not being able to pull off the upset at Xavier Sunday, the Lady Bucs had a lot to be happy about. One statistical category which they excelled in was turnovers. ETSU committed a season-low 12 turnovers against the Musketeers, and freshmen point guards Tara Davis and Kami Phillips combined to cough the ball up only once.
