Stupak, who went 10-2 during fall tournament play, has defeated opponents from No. 12 North Carolina, No. 60 Virginia Tech, No. 39 Virginia and No. 47 Purdue. She also defeated No. 51 Yvette Hyndman of No. 4 Georgia.
"I am very excited for Yevgeniya. She works very hard both athletically and academically," said head coach Steve Brooks. "With five teams in the region being ranked in the top 20 nationally it is very hard to achieve regional rankings."
Stupak was also ranked regionally last season and is only the second member of the ETSU women's tennis team to ever earn a regional ranking. Former Lady Buc Kristy Pace-Wagner was ranked in 1995.
