MACON, Ga. (Feb. 26,2007) - Fans who can't make it to the games will still be able to follow the 2007 Atlantic Sun men's and women's basketball championships as the A-Sun and the Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network have teamed up to provide live video streaming over the internet.
"We're pleased that the Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network has been granted the opportunity to stream live from both the men's and women's Atlantic Sun Conference basketball championships," ETSU Sports Information Director Michael White said. "Now, as long as a fan has a high speed internet connection, they will be able to keep up with the excitement of the A-Sun tournaments from anywhere in the world."
With the exception of Saturday's (March 3) men's championship game, which will be aired on ESPN2, 13 games will be available through the web-streaming services provided by the MSHA Buccaneer Sports Network.
Access to the web streaming can be purchased based on a 24-hour schedule, meaning that fans can log on during the first day of each tournament (March 1 and March 8) and catch all four games for one low price. Twenty-four hour access can be purchased for $4.99 by visiting http://etsustream.intellithought.net/.
As a reminder, your 24-hours of access begins at the point of purchase.
This is the first time fans can follow the action of the A-Sun basketball championships live on the web.
The webcast continues the Atlantic Sun's ability to provide cutting edge multimedia for its fans, ranging from photo galleries and post-game audio to the new addition of live video feeds.
Day 1 of the 2007 General Shale Brick A-Sun Men's Basketball Championship has been set and fans can log on to catch the following games:
"The video streaming is a perfect compliment to our television coverage for the General Shale Brick A-Sun Men's Basketball Championship," A-Sun Commissioner Ted Gumbart said. "The internet allows us to share the games with anyone who has internet service, which is a great way to reach every possible fan. When your team competes for an automatic bid to the NCAA's, fans love to follow along."
