While Power enjoyed a strong outing, the 16th-ranked Bucs struggled in the first round and ended the day tied for 11th on the team leaderboard.
"We had some struggles and had to count a high score," said ETSU head coach Fred Warren. "We're still just 12 strokes out of the lead. If we can improve tomorrow we still have an opportunity for a strong finish."

Other ETSU results from Sunday's action included a tie for 16th by senior Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales), who fired a 1-over 73, while junior Gareth Shaw (Lisburn, Northern Ireland) finished tied for 46th at 5-over.
