About the Game ...
Today's game is the last regular season tilt for Campbell and ETSU, both of which will be making the trip to Dothan, Ala. for the Atlantic Sun Tournament next week. ETSU has already clinched the number-three seed and will likely draw Mercer in the tourney's first round, while Campbell is in position to claim the fifth seed, facing in-state rival Gardner-Webb in the first round.
Scouting the Fighting Camels ...
Adrienne Rieley and Letitia Dickson are leading the Camel offense with Rieley putting up 11.5 points a night, and Dickson averaging 10.0. Rieley is also one of the team's top rebounders, pulling down 6.6 boards a game, while Marlena Murphy leads Campbell on the glass at 7.6 rpg. The Camels snapped a two-game losing skid on Thursday, topping Kennesaw State, 66-52, in Buies Creek. Prior to the win over the Owls, Campbell dropped contests to both Stetson and Florida Atlantic.
The Series ...ETSU leads the all-time series, 1-0, after picking up the 73-63 victory in Johnson City earlier this season. The win was one of ETSU's best defensive efforts of the year, as the Lady Bucs nabbed 21 steals, paced by Nichelle Akers who managed to tie a school record with nine takeaways. B.J. Banjo led all scorers with 21, followed by Akers with 16. Marlena Murphy led the Camels with 14 points and nine rebounds.
