In No. 2 doubles action, Masha Ilina (
The Lady Bucs again dominated in singles action, winning four of the six sets. In No. 1 singles Masha Ilina defeated Marlene Chemin, 6-2, 6-2. Sophomores Elena Volobueva and Olya Batsula both had victories in the No. 3 and No. 4 positions. Volobueva defeated Elvira Yusupova, 6-1, 7-5 in the No. 3 position while Batsula defeated Ann-Kristin Siljestrom, 6-2, 7-6 (4). In No. 6 singles, senior Sandie Knight defeated Pooja Kommireddi, 8-5.
"I'm very happy for the win, I believe it's the first time ETSU has ever defeated Middle Tennessee. The girls all played well from top to bottom, we played well as a team and we are looking forward to getting back on the courts tomorrow," said head coach Steve Brooks.
The Lady Bucs are back in action tomorrow, at home, against Alabama A&M at noon and conference opponent
