(Feb. 14, 2005) — The Lady Bucs softball squad opened their season this weekend with impressive victories over Temple, Virginia and UNC Wilmington competing at the UNC Triangle Classic in Chapel Hill, N.C.  ETSU catcher Jessica Lonsinger (Dale, City, Va.) and pitcher Belinda Barrera (Fayetteville, N.C.) were both picked as members of the All-Tournament Team for their contribution in during the opening weekend of the 2005 season.

Barrera led ETSU to their victory over Temple with an impressive no run, two hit performance also posting nine strikeouts in the victory.  Lonsinger was solid behind the plate for the Lady Bucs, while also playing a big roll offensively in the three Buccaneer victories. 

ETSU is next in action this Wednesday when they travel to face Gardner Webb in Boiling Springs, N.C. continuing non-conference action.  The doubleheader is set for a 1:00 p.m. start.
