           JOHNSON CITY, TENN. (Jan. 25, 2005) - The East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and its Alcohol Awareness Task Force is pleased to present a special Social Norms seminar presented by Dr. Wesley Perkins on Friday, Jan. 28.

            Perkins, the nation's renowned expert on social norms marketing programs, will present his seminar from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Center for Physical Activity on the ETSU campus. Dr. Perkins is considered the foremost authority on social norms and brings a wealth of knowledge and research to bear on the problems associated with alcohol such as underage drinking, binge drinking, and drinking and driving. ETSU's Alcohol Awareness Task Force is pleased to provide this seminar to campus, community and statewide organizations with the hope that progress can be made in the area of high risk drinking behaviors.
