Davies tied for 24th after three rounds in World Amateur event

, P.R.  (Oct. 30, 2004) - Buccaneer golfer Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) is currently in a three-way tie for 24th place at the World Amateur Championships from Rio Mar Country Club after three rounds of play in the four-round event.  Finishing Saturday's round at even par, including a two-under par back nine, Davies continues to stay among the leaders of the event.

 

Playing for Wales, Davies is currently 12 shots back as the leaders finish their rounds for the day.  United State of America competitor Ryan Moore leads at 14 under after 15 holes in the third round, while fellow USA competitor Spencer Levin sits at 10 under through 17.

 

Currently Wales holds the seventh place position heading into final round competition tomorrow. USA, Spain and Sweden round out the top three places thus far in the event.  The World Amateur Championships conclude tomorrow from the Rio Mar Country Club with live stats available on golfstat.com throughout the remainder of the event.
