Women's Golf in Tenth Place After First Two Rounds of Bradford Creek Spring Invitational

Johnson City, Tenn. (Mar. 11, 2002) -- The East Tennessee State women's golf team is in 10th place following Monday's first two rounds of the Bradford Creek Spring Invitational, hosted by East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. The Bucs shot a 340 in Monday morning's round, and improved their position by firing a 325 in their afternoon round. UNC-Wilmington leads the tournament by one stroke over host East Carolina, after shooting a combined 614 on Monday. Leading the Bucs on Monday was senior Mimmie Dymling (Sollentuna, Sweden) who improved from a first-round 82 to a second round 79 to tie for 26th after the first day of play. Fellow senior Catalina Zuluaga (Cali, Colombia) shot a first-round 83 and a second-round 82 to finish the day in a tie for 39th. Sophomore Kristen Fletcher (Cookeville, Tenn.) shot an 86 in the first round of play, followed by a second round 81 to finish in a tie for 42nd. Rounding out the Bucs' day on the links were senior Susan McKinney (Rogersville, Tenn.), who finished in a tie for 56th (89-83=172) and freshman Alysa Few (London, Ontario), who finished in a tie for 70th (89-87=176). The East Tennessee State women's golf team returns to action Tuesday morning for the final round of play in the Bradford Creek Spring invitational in Greenville, N.C.
