LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 19, 2008) - A week after guiding the ETSU women's 4x100-meter relay team to a gold-medal finish at Furman, junior Judy Johnson (Knoxville, Tenn.) continued to make noise on the track Saturday afternoon as she won the 200-meter dash at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational from Cardinal Park Stadium.

Johnson - who finished second last week in the 200m at Furman -shaved almost two seconds off her time this weekend. The Knoxville native sped her way to the top spot of the podium Saturday with an impressive and season-best time of 24.30. Johnson beat out Indiana State's Jeanne Middleton and teammate Nae-Nae Bailey (Statesville, N.C.) for the top spot. Bailey finished third as she made her season debut in the 200m, finishing in 24.98.

Also competing on the women's side and taking home top honors for the first time in her collegiate career was freshman Rochelle Crook (Cookeville, Tenn.). Crook won the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 13:51.20.

Rounding out the Lady Buccaneer was Jenny Knox's (Connelly Springs, N.C.) superb effort in the 100m. Knox finished second and set the Atlantic Sun's second fastest time of the season with her blazing time of 11.83.

On the men's side, junior Josh Cloyd (Telford, Tenn.) continued to build on his spectacular season. Cloyd finished second overall in the long jump with a leap of 23-00.75 (7.03m).

Freshman Mike James (Palm Bay, Fla.) turned in a season-best time of 14.76 in the 110-meter hurdles en route to a second place finish.
