JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (January 20, 2004) - The East Tennessee State University track and field program would like to invite all former track and field athletes to attend the first annual alumni reunion this Saturday, January 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the Wardroom of the Memorial Center. The reunion, scheduled for the second day of the Niswonger Track and Field Invitational, will allow track and field alumni to recall memories with their former teammates and the ability to share in Coach Walker's recent induction into the U.S. Track Coaches Hall of Fame in early December of 2003. The Wardroom is located on the third floor on the east side of the Mini-Dome. For more information on the reunion please contact the ETSU track and field office. Tickets for the Niswonger Track and Field Invitational are available by calling the ETSU Ticket Office at (423) 439-5371. The ticket price is $10 for adults and $4 for students that will get you in for both days of competition. The meet begins Friday at noon and the final event of the evening is set to begin at 9:00 p.m. Saturday's events begin at 8:00 a.m. and run all day.
