JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 30, 2003) - ETSU sophomore distance runner Brad Yewer (Newbury, England) competed in the 1,500 meters Friday afternoon from the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Mideast Regional Championships hosted by Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Yewer, who has been recovering from a hamstring injury, finished 11th in the first heat with a time of 4:04.25. He did not advance to the finals, being run on Saturday evening. Michigan's Nick Willis was the top qualifier for the finals, running a time of 3:46.09. Also competing for the Bucs this weekend in the Mideast Regional is junior David Haefner (Hamburg, N.Y.). Haefner will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase tomorrow night.
