Bandres starts strong at D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 2, 2010) - After drawing a first round bye, sophomore Jesus Bandres (Caracas, Venezuela) picked up a victory in second round action to lead the ETSU men's tennis team at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships, on Saturday afternoon.
Bandres knocked off Filip Miljevic of Illinois State 7-6 (1), 7-6 (8), in the second round of the pre-qualifying draw. Bandres moves on to take on John Collins of Maryland in third round play tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
After earning two wins yesterday at the UTC Fall Classic, Jeremy Bonevalle (Keerbergen, Belgium) fell in the semifinals of the Flight 3 singles draw to Carl Arbalos of Samford in a tough three set battle, 3-6, 7-6 (6), 6-0.
