Bonnevalle leads men's tennis at UTC Fall Classic
Jeremy Bonnevalle Saturday, October 02, 2010 CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Oct. 1, 2010) - Senior Jeremy Bonnevalle (Keerbergen, Belgium) earned two victories to lead the ETSU men's tennis team at the UTC Fall Classic on Friday afternoon at the Champions Club.
Bonevalle defeated Gustavo Holz of Jacksonville State 6-3, 6-4 in opening round action in the Flight 3 singles draw. Bonnevalle later defeated Daniel Shidler of Memphis 6-7 (8), 6-0, 6-0 in the quarterfinals. He will take on top-seeded Carl Arbalos of Samford Saturday in semifinal action.
Juan Ramirez and Robin Akser are also competing in the event for the Bucs as both players fell in their opening round matches.
The Bucs continue the UTC Fall Invitational on Saturday with play starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Champions Club. Meanwhile, other members of the team will begin play at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. on Saturday.
