Men's Tennis kicks off fall tournament season this weekend at UVA Invitational

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (September 9, 2010) - After winning its fourth straight A-Sun Championship a year ago, the ETSU men's tennis team will kick of its 2010 fall tournament season on Friday at the UVA Invitational in Charlottesville, Va.

The Bucs return seven key members from last year's championship team, including 2010 Atlantic Sun Player of the Year Sander Gille (Kuringen, Belgium) and NCAA Singles Championship participant Charles Bottoni (Bois Guillaume, France). The Bucs also return all-conference members Robin Akser (Ornskoldsvik, Sweden) and Grega Teraz (Mojstrana,, Slovenia) as well as all-freshman member Jesus Bandres (Caracas, Venezuela).

There are also two new faces on this year's squad. Roger Ordeig (Gurb, Spain) and Jorge Varon (Valencia, Venezuela) will look to make an immediate contribution to the squad as both will be competing this weekend. ETSU head coach Yaser Zaatini will also send Jeremy Bonneville (Keerbergen, Belgium) and Bandres to the event to compete.

Following the UVA Invitational the Bucs will hit the road to Louisville, Ky. for the Louisville Invitational, beginning next Friday.
