Things heat up for ETSU men's tennis at Icy/Hot ITA All American Tournament

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 1, 2004) - The East Tennessee State men's tennis team opened competition at the ICY/HOT ITA All American Tournament in Chattanooga, Tenn. today with two pre-qualifying matches by sophomore Felix Insaurralde (Asunción, Paraguay).

Insauralde defeated Indiana State's Aaron Phillip's 6-3, 6-0 to move into the second round of competition. He then advanced to the round of 64 with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Anton Marvin of UAB.

Insauralde will continue his quest to advance tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. where he will take on Matt Roberts of Arkansas.

Also representing ETSU in the ICY/HOT ITA All American Tournament is sophomore Oscar Posada (Valencia, Venezuela), who will begin competition at the start of the qualifying rounds on Monday morning.
