SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Feb. 19, 2004) -- East Tennessee State tennis standout Diego Iglesias (Mar del Plata, Argentina) has been named the TIAA-CREF SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of February 19. Playing in the number three singles slot, Iglesias outlasted Tennessee's Ockie Oosthuizen in three sets, 6-7, 6-2, 6-2. So far this season, Iglesias has yet to be defeated in a singles match with a record of 5-0. Iglesias is also a top performer in the classroom, as he currently holds a 3.928 GPA while majoring in corporate finance with a minor in marketing.
