Iglesias/Serrano named TIAA-CREF Southern Conference Student Athletes of the Week

SPARTANBURG, SC (Mar. 26, 2003) East Tennessee State's men's tennis doubles tandem of Diego Iglesias and Moises Serrano have been named the TIAA-CREF Southern Conference Student Athletes of the Week. The duo currently holds a perfect 4-0 record in the second position (doubles) overall with a perfect 2-0 record in conference play. Iglesias and Serrano started off the week defeating The Citadel's David Lara and Warren Woolfolk, 8-5, on Friday, March 21. The following day, they defeated College of Charleston's Eyal Omid and Liran Kling, 8-5. Iglesias, a junior from Mar del Plata, Argentina, maintains a 3.93 GPA overall while majoring in business management. A sophomore physics major from Bucaramanga, Columbia, Serrano holds a 3.91 GPA.
