Duo to compete against Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and Mississippi State
ATHENS, Ga. (Nov. 8, 2012) – Junior Roger Ordeig (Gurb, Spain) and sophomore Rogerio Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil) will represent the ETSU men’s tennis team in its final tournament of the fall season this weekend, heading to the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of Georgia for the Bulldog Scramble.
The three-day tournament begins Friday, and will be competed in a round-robin format. The Buccaneer duo will face the likes of Alabama, UGA, Kentucky and Mississippi State through both singles and doubles action.
Ordeig and Ribeiro have been two of ETSU’s best this fall. In singles, Ordeig boasts a 9-4 record while Ribeiro leads all Buccaneers in wins at 12-4. The two competed together in doubles for the first time this season last weekend, going 2-1 with wins against teams from Davidson and Boston College.
