Bucs to face College of Charleston in NCAA first round match-up

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 15, 2010) - The ETSU men's soccer team did not have to wait long to learn its NCAA tournament destination as the Bucs were in the first bracket announced and will face College of Charleston on the road Thursday at 7 p.m.
 
The Bucs (15-5-0, 7-2-0 A-Sun) have won eight of their last nine matches including the semifinal and final of the Atlantic Sun Tournament. ETSU captured the A-Sun Tournament Championship on a golden goal by freshman Itode Fubara (Ogbema, Nigeria) in the 95th minute defeating Stetson 1-0.
 
The appearance in the NCAA tournament is the first-ever for a program only three years old. ETSU also received its first-ever national ranking as the Buccaneers are ranked 34th by TopDrawerSoccer.com. The Bucs are also ranked sixth in the NSCAA/HendricksCars.com South Region and are receiving votes in the College Soccer News National Poll.
