JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 15, 2010) - ETSU men's soccer head coach Scott Calabrese announced the signing of two more players to the 2010 recruiting class on Thursday. With the signings of Henry Klein (St. Augustine, Fla.) and Nathaniel Hodges (Bailey, Miss.), the Bucs 2010 class nine newcomers to a squad that reached the Atlantic Sun semifinals in 2009.

The 2010 signing class also includes David Geno (Kingsport, Tenn.), Mario Samperio (Guatemala City, Guatemala), Blaike Woodruff (Georgetown, Texas), Itode Fubara (Ogbema, Nigeria), Nick Dykes (Nashville, Tenn.), Colin Pugh (Dublin, Ireland), Steven Matlock (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Jason Finn (Galway, Ireland).

Henry Klein (D/MF) (St Augustine, Fla.) (Pedro Menendez HS)

Klein joins the Buccaneers after spending four years as a varsity starter at Pedro Menendez High School in St Augustine, Fla. where he was named all-conference. In addition to his high school career, Klein played club soccer for the Jacksonville Fury where he was the third leading scorer in the region III premier league in 2008. Klein also spent four years on the Florida State ODP Team.

Calabrese on Klein:

"Henry has an outstanding work-ethic and very competitive mentality.  He is solid player whose athletic qualities will allow him to play a number of positions.  I think he may be best suited as an outside back or wide midfielder, but he is also strong and has pace and so could feature as a forward where needed."

Nathaniel Hodges (D) (Bailey, Miss.) (West Lauderdale HS)

Hodges joins the ETSU Men's Soccer program after spending four years as a starter at West Lauderdale High School. Hodges also was the starting quarterback for West Lauderdale in 2009. A team captain for two years, Hodges earned all-district honors four years in a row, and in 2010 was one of three finalists for the prestigious Gatorade Player of Year Award in Mississippi. Hodges is also a member of the Mississippi 92 ODP Team, and played club soccer for the Chicago Fire Juniors of Mississippi.

Calabrese on Hodges:

"Nate is a strong player who will give us much needed balance on the left hand side of either midfield or defense. He is a great athlete who has the engine to get up and down in the wide areas, and has excellent delivery with his left foot. He is a tenacious competitor who will drive on both himself and his teammates and we are looking forward to having him join us this fall."
