Friday, September 25, 2009

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 25, 2009) - The ETSU men's soccer team is set to face High Point on Saturday at 7 p.m. as the Bucs head to High Point, N.C. for a non-conference match.

The Bucs (1-3-2) took second ranked North Carolina to the wire on Tuesday falling 2-1 in overtime on the road. ETSU is led by sophomores Sean Hoek (Newburgh, Ind.) and Jaron Westbrook (Round Rock, Texas). Hoek leads the team with two goals, while Westbrook has the lone game-winner for the Bucs.

ETSU beat the Panthers 2-0 in the only match between the two teams a year ago. The Buccaneers are 4-1 all-time against teams from the Big South.

High Point (4-3-0) has lost three of its last four matches defeating USC Upstate 1-0, while falling to Davidson, Western Illinois and Akron. The Panthers are led by brothers Karo and Fejiro Okiomah as they have two goals apiece.
