Men's soccer to face Stetson

DELAND, Fla. (Nov. 1, 2008) - The ETSU men's soccer team is set to head to DeLand, Fla. to take on conference opponent Stetson on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Stetson Soccer Complex.

 

The Bucs (5-9-1, 1-6-1 A-Sun) currently sit two points back of Mercer for the last spot in the conference tournament. ETSU would earn a tournament berth with a Mercer loss to Campbell and a win against Stetson

 

ETSU lost 3-0 to Florida Gulf Coast its last time out. The Bucs are led offensively by Sean Hoek (Newburgh, Ind.) who has three game-winning-goals and seven points on the season.

 

The Hatters (7-6-2, 4-3-1 A-Sun) come into the match having won two of their last three contests. Stetson defeated USC Upstate Friday, 5-1, while beating Belmont 2-0 on the road. Eugene Starikov leads the Hatters offensively with four goals, four assists and 12 points on the season.
