JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 31, 2010) - The ETSU men's soccer team has officially clinched the top seed in the Atlantic Sun Tournament after a 1-1 double overtime draw between Stetson and Jacksonville Sunday afternoon in DeLand, Fla.
With the No.1 seed, the Bucs (12-5-0, 7-2-0 A-Sun) have earned a bye this weekend in the A-Sun quarterfinals, and will host both the conference semifinals and finals from Nov. 11-13 at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
ETSU is set to face the winner of the Lipscomb/Campbell quarterfinal match in the A-Sun semifinals. The Bisons and Camels are slated to meet this Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.
The Buccaneers finished just six points back of FGCU for the A-Sun regular season championship.
ETSU returns to action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as they head to Boone, N.C. to face Appalachian State in the regular season finale.
