The Bucs (3-2) went 1-1 last weekend at the Elon Classic. ETSU captured a 1-0 victory over the host
High Point (3-2-1) enters Saturday's contest on a high note, as the Panters have won its last two matches. High Point picked up a 2-1 victory over previously undefeated Appalachian State, who is currently tied for sixth, in the NSCAA South Region. Prior to their win on Wednesday night, the Panthers recorded another win against a SoCon member; defeating Davidson, 3-2.
All youth soccer players and teams attending Saturday's match, and who are wearing their team jerseys, will receive free admission. The ETSU Athletic Department in correlation with the United States Youth Soccer Association, is conducting this event to help raise awareness and promote the benefits of playing youth soccer. September, is known as "Youth Soccer Month," by the United States Youth Soccer Association (US Youth Soccer) - who emphasizes soccer as the number one youth participation sport in America and leading contributor to the healthy lifestyle of millions of American families.
ETSU and the men's soccer team encourage all youth soccer teams in the Tri-Cities to join us on Saturday, and participate in micro soccer games on the field after the game. This is a great way for teams and players to interact with the ETSU men's soccer players and coaches. As always, the team will be available for autographs following the game on the south end of the stadium.
