Enoch still paces men's golf at U.S. Collegiate Championship

ALPAHRETTA, Ga. (Oct. 24, 2012) - ETSU senior Rhys Enoch (Cornwall, England) continues to lead the Bucs after day two of the U.S. Collegiate Championship on Monday afternoon at The Golf Club of Georgia.
Enoch fired a 2-over-par 74 on Monday and remains the top ETSU individual after two rounds. Enoch opened the tournament with a 1-under 71 on Sunday. He currently sits tied for 26th place in the 75-player field at 1-over.
Freshman Rhys Pugh (Pontypridd, Wales) struggled on day one with an 80, but rebounded on Monday with a 3-over 75. Meanwhile, Scott Gibson (Dumfries, Scotland) followed up a opening round 79 with a 76 in round number two.
ETSU shot a 304 for the second consecutive day to sit in 14th position with just one round to play. Host Georgia Tech has the team lead at 10-under, following a 6-under-par round on Monday. UCLA is in second - three shots back - at 7-under. Washington, USC and Auburn are all tied for third at 6-under.
Steve Lin of USC and Cheng-Tsung Pan of Washington share the individual lead at 5-under-par. However, five players are just one shot back in second place, followed by five additional players within two shots of the lead.
Sam Edwards (Bigbury, England) shot a 79, while Spencer Lawson (Raleigh, N.C.) added an 80 to round out the ETSU scoring.
The Bucs tee off with Georgia Tech and Wake Forest tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. for the final round.
