SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 11, 2011) -
ETSU freshman Lucas Armstrong (Church Hill, Tenn.) and sophomore Patrick Spraggs (Rochford, England) are both tied for eighth individually and the Bucs are tied for second as a team after two rounds of the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational on Monday at the Country Club of Spartanburg.

ETSU opened up the day with a 1-over 289, before closing out round two with a solid 3-under 285. The Bucs currently stand at 2-under par with Atlantic Sun Conference rival Campbell. The two teams are just two of three teams that are under par through two rounds. Richmond leads the event at 13-under.

The ETSU duo of Armstrong and Spraggs currently sit at 3-under par and just two shots behind the leaders. Armstrong opened the day by shooting a solid 1-under 71, before closing out the day with a 2-under 70. Spraggs opened with 72 before firing a team-best 3-under 69 in round two. Spraggs had 11 birdies on the day, which was good for third best in the field of 79 total players.

Four players are tied for the lead in the individual standings. Jacobo Pastor of Charleston Southern, Vaita Guillaume of Campbell, Kristopher Gray of Gardner-Webb, and Mark Joye of Wofford each share the lead at 5-under par. A trio of players remain just a shot back at 4-under on the 6,648-yard, par-72 layout.

ETSU senior Paul O'Kane (Castledawson, Northern Ireland) was the next best Buccaneer on the leaderboard as he sits in a tie for 24th at +2 after a pair of 73s. O'Kane's two rounds included three eagles which tied him for the lead in that category, while also leading the field in par-5 scoring at 10-under.

Freshman Spencer Lawson (Raleigh, N.C.) is tied for 27th at +3 (73-74), while junior Devin Komline (Dorset, Vt.) rounded out the ETSU scoring at +5 (76-73).

Tomorrow's final round shotgun start will begin at 9:30 a.m. with ETSU pairing with Richmond at Campbell.
