ETSU men finish in 13th after first round of Hall of Fame Invitational
Friday, March 19, 2004 HUMBLE, Texas (March 19, 2004) - The East Tennessee State men's golf team finished in 13th place following first round play Friday during the Hall of Fame Invitational at the Redstone Golf Club. The Bucs, who finished with a team score of 6-over-par, trail first-place Arizona by 17 strokes.ETSU freshman Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) and sophomore Andrew Paduch (Johnson City, Tenn.) led the way for the Bucs, finishing tied for 38th with rounds of 1-over 73. Meanwhile, the rest of the Bucs finished tied for 55th at 2-over, including Cennydd Mills (Cardiff, Wales), Jeremy Hobson (Thonotosassa, Fla.) and Noel Kavanagh (Westport, Ireland). Arizona shot an opening round 11-under-par 277 to lead after the opening round, while Arkansas, TCU, Texas and Texas A&M are all tied for second, six shots off the lead. Arizona's Chris Nallen paced all individuals after a first-round 66.
