Mens Golfers Move to Seventh in Rolex/Golf World/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate Invitational
Saturday, November 04, 2000 Johnson City, Tenn. -- Senior Chris Wisler continued his torrid play as he fired a 4-under par 68 to lead the ETSU men's golfers charge to seventh place in the Rolex/Golf World/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate Invitational from Arthur Hills at Palmetto Dunes Resort in Hilton Head, S.C. The 19th ranked Buccaneers shot a combined 281 (-7) as they moved from 12th place after the first round to seventh place after today's play. ETSU is 25 shots behind the leaders, the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs. After two rounds of play, Wisler is in a three-way tie for third at 7-under par with Dustin Bray of North Carolina and Simon Robinson of Houston. Senior Pat Beste had another solid round, shooting a 1-under par 71 to end round two in a five-way tie for 21st. Sophomore Adam Riddering finds himself in a eight-way tie for 56th after shooting a two-under par 70 on day two. Sophomore Thomas Lee shot an even-par 72 to end up in a three-way tie for 64th. Sophomore James Johnson shot his second consecutive two-over par 74 to end the second round in a five-way tie for 67th. The final round of of the Rolex/Golf World/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate Invitational will be held on Sunday, November 5 from Arthur Hills at Palmetto Dunes Resort in Hilton Head, S.C.
