JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Junior Chris Wisler (Dover, Del.) earned Southern Conference Golfer-of-the-Week honors for the week of April 4-11.

This past weekend, Wisler finished third at the Furman Intercollegiates after carding a three-round 214 (68-75-71) in Greenville, S.C. His 68 in the first round tied for his second best round of the year. Wisler led the team to a second-place finish, losing to Virginia by two strokes .

Currently ranked #40 nationally, Wisler leads the team with a 72.60 scoring average. It was his fourth top-10 finish of the season, after finishing tied for third at The Ridges Intercollegiate (Sept. 11-12), tied for ninth at the Iron Duke Golf Classic (Oct. 17-18) and second at the Seminole Classic (March 6-7).

A 1999 All-American, Wisler won the Southern Conference Championship last year. He tied for eighth at the NCAA Championships after shooting a four-round 295 (68-75-81-71).

Wisler and the Bucs will return to action on April 14-15 at the Bell South Intercollegiate in Raleigh, N.C.
