JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 9, 2008) - Taking time out from its preparations for the NCAA East Regionals next week in Chattanooga, the ETSU men's golf team spent time earlier this week at the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House located near the Johnson City Medical Center.
The entire squad and head coach Fred Warren have helped with various duties at the RMH throughout the years. On this day they put down their golf clubs and picked up brushes to stain the home's rocking chairs.
"Our team has supported the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House for several years and we are proud to do what we can to help this very worthwhile charity," Warren said. "They provide such valuable assistance to children and families of seriously ill children who are receiving medical care in local hospitals. Our players look forward to doing more volunteer work with the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House in the future whenever they need us."
The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics strives for 100 percent participation in community service efforts by student-athletes, coaches and administrators.
