JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 13, 2012) – Many ETSU basketball fans had been eagerly awaiting the debut of redshirt freshman Lester Wilson (Knoxville). Against Virginia Tech last Saturday, the 6-foot-4 forward did not disappoint.

Posting a team-high 20 points to go along with nine rebounds, Wilson was definitely impressive against the Hokies. For his efforts, he was named the Atlantic Sun Conference newcomer of the week on Tuesday.

In that game last week, Wilson hit on 8-of-15 shots from the field and was 3-of-6 from 3-point range, as he came off the bench to play 27 minutes.

Wilson and the rest of the Buccaneers will return to action this Saturday as the Bucs take on former Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee Tech at the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center. Tip time for this regular season home opener is set for 4 p.m.
