Jacksonville Pirate Club kickoff scheduled for this weekend

Monday, February 05, 2007

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 5, 2007) -- In an effort to support ETSU athletics and share friendships -- new and old -- the ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is pleased to announce the formation of the Jacksonville Pirate Club.

To kickoff the formation of this group, several activities are planned for this coming weekend as the Buccaneer men's basketball team invades Northern Florida for games against Jacksonville (Feb. 8) and UNF (Feb. 10). To kick off the program, President Paul Stanton and Athletic Director Dave Mullins will be in Jacksonville to explain the university's direction and the commitment to a Pirate Club in the North Florida area.

With ETSU participating in many athletic events in the Jacksonville area in the coming months and years, it is felt that this is a great time to support our university and meet fellow alumni.
