ETSU men's basketball grants release to Balocka

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 13, 2007) - ETSU men's basketball coach Murry Bartow announced Friday that freshman forward Petras Balocka (Vilnius, Lithuania) has requested and will receive permission to transfer at the end of the spring semester.

 

Balocka - a 6-8, 250-pound forward who saw an average of 6.2 minutes a game and scored 1.8 points a contest - enjoyed his best game of the year at Vanderbilt, scoring eight points and grabbing six rebounds in 14 minutes of play.

 

Bartow said he wishes Balocka the best.

 

"We appreciate Petras and his efforts for our program," Bartow said. "We understand his decision and hope he finds success in the future."

 

With Balocka's departure the Bucs now have four scholarships open for the 2007-08 signing class.
