JOHNSON CITY, TENN. (Jan. 5, 2005) -- The East Tennessee State University men's basketball team is back in action tonight as the Buccaneers return to Southern Conference play with a trip to nearby Appalachian State in Boone, N.C. Tip is set for 7 p.m.

The Bucs enter the game at 4-7 overall, 0-1 in SoCon play, and are looking to regroup after a tough early season stretch. Meanwhile, the Mountaineers are 5-5 on the year and 0-1 in conference play.

ETSU has enjoyed three straight wins over the Mountaineers, including a 66-63 win at Memorial Center in their last meeting on Feb. 7, 2004. The Bucs lead the all-time series 73-44.
