JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 5, 2002) - In anticipation of the 2002-'03 East Tennessee State University men's basketball season, the ETSU Department of Athletics wants to make it easy for fans of the Buccaneers to purchase their season tickets. Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 6, fans can purchase season tickets at the West Ticket Booth of Memorial Center located on John Robert Bell Drive from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. This will allow fans a more convenient way of purchasing tickets, rather than having to park their car and walk up to the business office located on the upper level of Memorial Center. In addition, the ETSU men's team will officially kick off their season with the Buccaneer Basketball Blastoff on Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Firehouse Restaurant in Johnson City. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last until 7:30. Head coach Ed DeChellis will broadcast his first radio show of the season that night from 6-7 p.m. on WJCW-AM (910) and fans will have an opportunity to meet with selected members of both the men's and women's basketball teams.
