JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 8, 2003) - A reception to welcome to 2003 Southern Conference Men's Basketball Tournament Champions, East Tennessee State, back to Johnson City will be held Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. at Brooks Gym on the ETSU campus. All ETSU fans and the general public are invited to help Buccaneer head coach Ed DeChellis and his players celebrate their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1992. The Buccaneers earned the SoCon Tournament crown by defeating Wofford, 80-75, in the quarterfinals, College of Charleston, 64-55, in the semifinals and in-state rival Chattanooga, 97-90, in the championship.
