DeChellis To Remain At East Tennessee State

Johnson City, Tenn. (April 8, 2002) - East Tennessee State's head men's basketball coach, Ed DeChellis has withdrawn his name from consideration for the head coaching position at the College of Charleston. "After visiting the College of Charleston this weekend, I have officially withdrawn from consideration for the coaching position there," said DeChellis. "I feel a great loyalty to my players and East Tennessee State University. Our president, Dr. Stanton, and (ETSU Athletics Director) Todd Stansbury have been great to me and my family. I look forward to an exciting season with the Bucs in 2002-03." "I am extremely happy that Eddie DeChellis has chosen to stay at ETSU," said Stansbury. "I am excited about the future of our men's basketball program under his continued leadership."
