Before this season, the lowest points per game by ETSUs opponents happened in 1997-98 (66.9) and the lowest field goal percentage by an ETSU opponent happened in 1966-67 (41.1 percent).

A Team Effort ... Although the Bucs enjoyed many stellar individual efforts during the 2000-01 regular season, it was an overall team effort that carried them to the best Conference record in the league ... Five Buc players are averaging more than 8.0 points per game -- led by junior Dimeco Childress 13.0 points per game ... Every player in ETSUs seven-player rotation is averaging more than 7.5 points per game.

It was the first time an ETSU squad was .500-or-better on the road since going 6-6 during the 1998-99 season.

Is it Really That Simple? ... Looking strictly at a trend from the regular season, ETSU should only have to play 20 minutes to determine the outcome of a game ... The Bucs are 17-2 when leading at the half and 0-7 when trailing at the break ... Once this season, at Davidson (Jan. 8), the game was tied at the break ... ETSU defeated the Wildcats, 59-55.

On Television ... The Bucs television debut for the 2000-01 season came on January 2, 2001 when ETSU fell at Chattanooga, 67-58 ... The Head Coach ... Fifth-year head coach Ed DeChellis has compiled a 67-71 (.486) record at ETSU ... He now ranks fifth all-time in victories ... Madison Brooks won 370 games from 1948-73 ...
