Special football edition of "Inside Buc Sports" radio show set for Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Fanatics in Johnson City

Monday, April 02, 2007

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 2, 2007) - The Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network's Inside Buc Sports Radio Coaches Show will be airing a special edition dedicated to Buccaneer football on the evening of Tuesday, April 3 at Fanatics Restaurant, located inside the Doubletree Hotel. The show will air from 6 to 8 p.m.

"We're hoping to build off the ‘Get the Facts' football forum being held at 5 p.m. in the D.P. Culp Forum at ETSU," said Voice of the Bucs Jay Sandos. "Hopefully students will attend that forum and then come down to Fanatics for some food and a chance to continue the conversation about ETSU football. We want to get the message out about bringing back football, and eliminate rumors by giving some hard facts and information."

Special guests will include ETSU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dave Mullins, ETSU Vice President for Administration and Football Steering Committee Chairwoman Dr. Wilsie Bishop, former Buccaneer football players, and other ETSU athletic administrators. The list of former players scheduled to attend include Judge John Walton, Adam Walton, Matt Wilhjelm, Bill Linebarger, Craig Charles and Derek Fudge.

"This is an opportunity for us to show students how much the community is behind the efforts of football," Sandos said.

Special giveaways are planned for those who attend the event, including "Vote Yes For Football" buttons, "Bring It Back" T-shirts, hats, posters, stickers and other ETSU football memorabilia. Also, two season tickets to the first year of football's return will be given away to one lucky fan.

Fans with questions they want asked during the radio show are encouraged to send those inquiries to etsuradio@yahoo.com.
