LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BUCS

ETSU (7-9) is coming off a 17-11 loss at UNC Asheville on Wednesday afternoon at Greenwood Field.

The Bucs tied season highs for runs (11) and hits (14), but the Blue and Gold couldn’t rally back from a 14-run deficit.

Clinton Freeman (Jonesborough, Tenn.), Zach Thompson (Johnson City, Tenn.), Dylan Tritsch (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Zach Mize (Gainesville, Ga.) all provided ETSU with two-hit efforts, while Chris Riopedre (Miami, Fla.) homered in the losing effort. Riopedre (three RBI), Freeman (two RBI) and Thompson (two RBI) drove in seven of the 11 ETSU runs.

Seven of ETSU’s runs came with two outs; however, the Bucs were unable to get their leadoff hitter on in all nine innings.
