Saturday’s game is cancelled; teams to play doubleheader Sunday and single game Monday

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 15, 2014) – The ETSU baseball team announced additional schedule changes to its series with Longwood on Saturday morning.

Saturday’s game has been cancelled and a doubleheader will be played on Sunday beginning at 1:05 p.m. at Thomas Stadium. The Bucs and Lancers will then play a single game Monday at 1:05 p.m.

Following the Longwood series, ETSU hosts Furman on Tuesday afternoon at 3:05 p.m.

Originally, the series was set to be played Friday at 3:05 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 1:05 p.m. However, snowstorm “Pax” dumped over eight inches of snow in the Tri-Cities region and part of the field is still covered in snow/ice.

The Valentine’s Day promotion that was scheduled for opening day will also be moved to Sunday. Fans are encouraged to Tweet why they “Love” ETSU baseball to either @ETSUAthletics or @ETSU_Baseball using the hashtag (#BuckyLove). For those who don’t have Twitter, ETSU marketing staff will have paper hearts for fans to fill out saying why they "Love" ETSU baseball at the game.

The prizes include: a one-night stay at The Carnegie Hotel, lunch for two at Wellington’s, and a one-hour massage at Austin Springs Spa. The winners will be determined by those who come up with the most creative reason(s) why they love ETSU baseball and will be announced during the first game on Sunday.

To purchase season tickets, call the ETSU ticket office at (423) 439-3878 or visit ETSUBucs.com/tickets.
