Buccaneer Hitting Camp to be held Feb. 8-9
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 8, 2013) – East Tennessee State University head baseball coach Tony Skole and his staff released information regarding the 2014 Buccaneer Winter Hitting Camp on Wednesday.
The two-day camp will be held Feb. 8-9 inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center (Mini Dome). On Saturday, the camp will be held from 6:30-9:30 p.m., while Sunday’s camp runs from 1-4 p.m.
The cost for each camper is $130, and is open for children five years of age through high school seniors. Space is limited, so please call (423) 439-4496 to reserve a spot as soon as possible. Registration will take place on the lower floor of the west side of the Dome on Feb. 8.
Along with Coach Skole, instruction will be given by ETSU assistant coaches, Xan Barksdale, Kyle Bunn and Chris Gordon.
"Once again we are very excited about our 2014 Winter Hitting Camp,” said Skole. “This year we moved our dates back to be closer to the start of baseball season, and I think that will be a great benefit to those who attend. Baseball season is just right around the corner and this camp will help get you ready.
“This is a great opportunity for a young player to begin and/or continue their preparation for this upcoming season. Also, it’s a great opportunity for our coaching staff to work directly and get an up-close look at many talented high school players who are interested in ETSU."
ETSU opens the 2014 campaign on Feb. 14 when the Bucs host Longwood. To purchase season tickets for the upcoming season, call the ETSU ticket office at (423) 439-3878 or visit ETSUBucs.com/tickets.
