Tailgate concert, presented by ETSU Athletics and Campus Ridge, will be held outside Thomas Stadium following the ETSU/Kennesaw State game

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 22, 2013)The Twang Bangers have announced they will hold a free postgame concert, presented by ETSU Athletics and Campus Ridge, this Saturday outside Thomas Stadium.

The concert will begin shortly after the conclusion of the ETSU/Kennesaw State baseball game, which is scheduled to get underway at 2:05 p.m.

The free event is open to the public. The concert is scheduled to last an hour and a half and will be held in the grassy area near the ETSU batting cages.

This event is the first-ever postgame tailgate concert to be held at Thomas Stadium and it has been labeled “Banging with the Bucs.”

“We are very excited to have The Twang Bangers be a part of this inaugural event,” said Sara Hacker, Assistant Athletic Director for Corporate Development. “This is a great way to showcase our stadium to the community and we hope to continue to hold more events like this throughout the year. We also want to thank Campus Ridge for their support in putting this special day together.”

In addition, the Twang Bangers are also excited to be playing at Thomas Stadium.

"There would be no Twang Bangers without ETSU and the support of the Blue and Gold Nation,” said lead vocalist Wes Holtsclaw. “We certainly look forward to bringing our music to The Thom after an exciting game on Saturday. We urge all ETSU students, fellow alumni and area fans to come out, tailgate, support the team and enjoy an amazing day in Johnson City.”

Starting Monday and running through Friday, trivia questions will be posted on the ETSU Athletics Facebook page (ETSU Buccaneer Athletics), while hints will be provided on the Campus Ridge Facebook page. The first person to answer the question each day on the ETSU Athletics page will win a prize pack.
